FIRST GEN COLLEGE CELEBRATION STUDENT AWARDS LUNCHEON

Nominate a First Gen student and help us support excellence and first gen student success!
ALL NOMINEES MUST:
Be a first-generation student - neither parent or guardian completed a 4 year degree from a college or university in the United States
Be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ student (graduate or undergraduate)
Have good academic and judicial standing with °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ
Demonstrate the characteristics described in each award category
Attend the First Gen Celebration Student Awards Luncheon on Friday November 8th, 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Location: Reaud Executive Suite
Students can be nominated in one or more of the following awards categories:
LEADERSHIP
Inspires others to work collaboratively and creatively
Demonstrates initiative
Empowers others
Actively involved in the campus community (e.g., student organization, holds an elected position in a group or organization, serves as a mentor, etc.)
SERVICE
Active participation and attendance on committees, satisfactory presentation and/or completion of service activities on and off campus
Improvement or enhancement to group arising as a result of service activity
Obtained number of service contributions and hours consumed in service activities
COMMUNITY
Serves as a role model for compassion and service
Strives to make the world a better place
Has a passion for helping others in his/her community
RESEARCH
Completed research or a systematic study directed toward the greater knowledge or understanding of the fundamental aspects of phenomena with observable facts
Research topic is relevant and feasible
GLOBAL IMPACT
Makes contributions towards enhancing °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ’s global engagement through research, education, and service
Fosters a welcoming environment that is conducive to a comprehensive campus
Makes an impact on the lives of their peers, campus community, and society
